Know me

My journey into coaching started with my own curiosity as a runner. Over the years, I worked with different coaches and followed many training programs, but I often found myself wanting to understand why certain workouts were prescribed and what physiological purpose they served.

That curiosity eventually led me to study endurance training and exercise physiology more deeply. I wanted to better understand the processes behind performance — not just follow workouts, but truly learn how the body adapts to training.

That search for understanding is what ultimately shaped The Gudiño Method. Today, my goal is not only to guide runners through structured training, but also to help them understand the reasoning behind each session so they can train with confidence and purpose.

I’m Diego Gudiño, a running coach and endurance athlete focused on helping runners train with purpose. Over the years, I’ve learned that real progress in running doesn’t come from random workouts or chasing intensity, but from understanding how the body adapts to training.

Through my coaching and my own experience as a runner, I developed The Gudiño Method — a structured approach to endurance training built on exercise physiology, pacing zones and metabolic development. The goal is simple: help runners improve performance through intelligent training rather than guesswork.

My work is centered on teaching athletes not only how to train, but why each workout matters. Because when runners understand their training, they become stronger, more confident and capable of achieving long-term progress.
